Cloudy, cool and breezy but with only a slight chance of a shower! Partly sunny and milder on Friday! Improved forecast for the weekend with again mostly cloudy and cool conditions but only slight chances of rain! Mainly dry and milder through the middle of next week!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are cloudy early on this Thursday morning and there are some showers or drizzle mainly east of our area. Temperatures range from 58 in Clifton down to 53 at High Point. Winds are brisk out of the north with some gusts to 25 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 29.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR MAY 16TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 71 AVERAGE LOW: 52

RECORD HIGH: 86 – 2007 RECORD LOW: 36 – 2016

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 64 LOW: 59 PRECIPITATION: .48″

The low pressure that gave us the rain yesterday is moving slowly off the coast. We will have a brisk northerly flow of cool air with continued cloudy skies, but now there is only a slight chance of a shower.

High pressure will build into the area on Friday with milder temperatures despite continued mostly cloudy skies.

The forecast for the weekend now looks better, with only a slight chance of showers as the low pressure that was going to give us rain now appears to be to far to our south to give us much in the way of precipitation.

Milder temperatures and mainly dry Monday through Wednesday with only a chance of showers on Wednesday as a weak frontal system approaches our area.
