Showers ending this morning followed by clearing with seasonably cool temperatures and much less humidity by this afternoon! Sunny and continued cool on Friday! Great weather for the weekend with mostly sunny skies both days with seasonably warm temperatures! Mainly dry and warm Monday through Wednesday!

Rain is falling over much of the area early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from 56 in Clifton down to 49 at High Point. Winds are light from the northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 31.

The low pressure system that gave us nearly 1 1/2 inches of rain overnight is moving offshore this morning as high pressure builds from the Great Lakes. The showers should end by 8 a.m. and skies will become partly sunny by this afternoon. Temperatures will be seasonably cool with highs in the lower 70s.

The high pressure will build closer to our area on Friday giving us another seasonably cool day with plenty of sunshine.

The high pressure will be moving off the coast on the weekend and a southwesterly flow of warmer air will be in our area with plenty of sunshine both days with seasonably warm temperatures.

Continued mainly dry and warm Monday through Wednesday with only a low chance of showers on Wednesday as a weak front approaches our area.
