Mostly sunny, breezy and warm with less humidity today! Mainly dry with seasonable temperatures this weekend! Continued mainly dry most of next week with continued near normal temperatures!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Friday morning and again it is mild with temperatures ranging from 64 in Clifton down to 59 at High Point. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is good with an index of 48.

Showers and thunderstorms yesterday that gave us some heavy rain has moved offshore as weak high pressure builds into the area today. Temperatures will again be warm in the 80s, but the humidity will drop with dew points falling into the 50s, which is much more comfortable than dew points in the 70s that we had yesterday.

The weekend looks to be mainly dry with near seasonable temperatures. An upper level low over the northeast with some disturbances moving through the area, but there will be only a slight (20%) of showers on Sunday.

Most of next week continues to look mainly dry, although the GFS computer model shows some moisture come up from the south that would give us rain on Wednesday, although most of the other models keep us dry. Temperatures look to be seasonable but rise to a little above normal towards the end of next week.

WEDNESDAY – JUNE 12 – Partly sunny, highs near 80.

THURSDAY – JUNE 13 – Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 80s.
