Skies are partly cloudy early on this Sunday morning with temperatures ranging from 73 in Clifton down to 68 at Wantage, winds are mainly calm The air quality is moderate with an index of 64.

Another very hot and humid day again today with highs well up into the 90s and with dew points in the 70s will cause heat indexes to rise to around 105, a heat advisory continues in effect. A cold front is expected to cross the area tonight with possibly strong to severe thunderstorms along with heavy rain mainly after 5 p.m.

Conditions improve on Monday with cooler and less humid air as high pressure builds into the area, dew points dropping to the 50s by the afternoon.

High pressure over the area on Tuesday with sunny skies, quite warm temperatures but continued low humidity.

Very hot and humid again on Wednesday but another cold front will likely give us more showers and thunderstorms with possibly some heavy rain in the afternoon and night.

Dry with near normal temperatures Thursday through the start of next weekend.

THURSDAY – JUNE 27 – Chance of an early shower then becoming partly sunny, cooler and less humid, highs in the upper 80s.

FRIDAY – JUNE 28 – Sunny, highs in the mid 80s.

SATURDAY – JUNE 29 – Partly sunny, highs in the mid 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect for southwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 5-8 feet. Belmar’s Ocean temperature is 70 degrees.
