Sunny and very pleasant today! Increasingly humid over the weekend with a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon becoming more widespread Saturday night through the day on Sunday! Mainly dry Monday through Independence Day with a slow increase in temperatures and humidity!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Friday morning and temperatures are the coolest in several mornings with readings ranging from 61 in Clifton down to 46 at Walpack. Winds are calm or light northerly. The air quality is good with an index of 29.

High pressure over the area will give us a very pleasant late June day with seasonably cool temperatures and very low humidity with dew points in the 40s.

Conditions become much more unsettled as a warm front moves through Saturday night followed by a cold font Sunday evening. Humidity will rapidly increase with dew points rising to the uncomfortable 70s by Saturday night. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon becoming more widespread Saturday night through Sunday with heavy rain and gusty winds probable.

High pressure then will dominate our weather to start off July. Temperatures and humidity will be pleasant on Monday and slowly increase through Independence Day. Most of this period will be dry but a weak front will give us a slight chance of a shower on the 4th.

SUNDAY – JUNE 30 – Mostly cloudy hot and humid with showers and thunderstorms likely with heavy rain and strong gusty winds possible, highs in the low 90s.

MONDAY – JULY 1 – Sunny, cooler and less humid, highs in the low 80s.

TUESDAY – JULY 2 – Sunny, highs in the mid 80s

WEDNESDAY – JULY 3 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 80s

INDEPENDENCE DAY – JULY 4 – Partly sunny, hot and humid, highs in the low 90s.
