Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from 66 in Clifton down to 58 at High Point and Basking Ridge. Winds are light from the south. The air quality index is good with an index of 28

We should have mostly cloudy skies and it will much more humid today as a warm front moves to our north this afternoon There is a chance of showers in the evening then more heavier showers and thunderstorms after midnight.

Sunday will be hot and humid there may be a break in the rain between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. then as a cold front approaches showers and thunderstorms will develop, some of the storms may be accompanied by strong winds, heavy rain and possible some hail. This activity should end by Sunday evening as the cold front moves through with clearing after midnight.

High pressure will dominate our weather Monday through Wednesday with near normal temperatures and low humidity with plenty of sunshine each day.

Hot and humid again on Independence Day with a chance of showers and thunderstorms during the evening.

Still a chance of a lingering shower on Friday and it should be cooler and less humid as a cold front moves through in the morning.

Partial clearing by midnight. highs near 90.

TUESDAY – JULY 2 – Sunny, highs in the mid 80s.

WEDNESDAY – JULY 3 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 80s.

INDEPENDENCE DAY – JULY 4 – Partly sunny, hot and more humid, highs in the low 90s. Chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening.

FRIDAY – JULY 5 – Chance of a lingering shower then becoming partly sunny, less humid with highs in the upper 80s.
