Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Friday morning and it is quite muggy. Temperatures range from 73 in Clifton down to 69 at High Point, Hackettstown and Wantage. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is very unhealthy with an index of 204 caused by the fireworks in the area last night.

Today will be a mostly cloudy, very warm and humid day with chances of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. With highs near 90 and dew points in the oppressive mid 70s will cause heat indexes to rise to near 100. A heat advisory is in effect.
Continued very warm and humid again on Saturday as a weak front will be moving through the area. Showers and thunderstorms will become more likely with some strong storms possible.
Weak high pressure will be in our area for Sunday and Monday with partly to mostly sunny skies both days and although it will be hot the humidity will be a little lower.
Humidity again increases for Tuesday into Thursday with showers and thunderstorms again possible each day.
