Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Monday morning and there are some light showers falling over parts of the area. Temperatures are warmer than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 70 in Clifton down to 62 at Walpack. The humidity is higher with dew points mainly in the upper 60s. The air quality is moderate with an index of 77.

A weak low pressure is south of Cape Cod and is giving us considerable clouds this morning with some light showers. This afternoon we should see some sunshine but with higher humidity there will be a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

A few disturbances moving through the area will likely give us showers and some thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday, although there will be some dry periods. The humidity will remain high but with the clouds and precipitation high temperatures should stay in the 80s.

A high pressure ridge will cause hotter weather Thursday through Sunday with continued high humidity. Thursday should be dry but there will be a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms Friday through the weekend.

OUTLOOK: Advisories still possible through the day on Tuesday mainly for high seas; no advisories expected Wednesday through Friday.
