Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and there are some scattered showers falling in parts of our area. Temperatures range from 70 in Clifton down to 64 at High Point. Winds are light from the southeast. The humidity is high with dew points in the upper 60s to near 70. The air quality is moderate with an index of 69.

A slowly moving frontal system will give us cloudy skies today with scattered showers and thunderstorms, some rain may be heavy at time with possible rain rates of 1-2″ an hour. A flood watch is in effect.
The front will slowly move off the coast on Monday with scattered showers and thunderstorms accompanying the front.
High pressure will then build from the Great Lakes and we will have much cooler and drier air. High temperatures Tuesday through Thursday will only be in the 70s and overnight lows in the 50s. Dew points will drop to the low 50s. And with some breezy conditions it will feel like fall.
Dry but with somewhat warmer temperatures Friday into next weekend!

TONIGHT – Cloudy with showers likely with possibly some thunderstorms, heavy rain possible, humid, lows in the upper 60s.
MONDAY – AUG 19 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning with showers likely and possibly some thunderstorms, highs in the mid 80s.
TUESDAY – AUG 20 – Chance of an early shower then becoming partly sunny, cooler and much less humid, highs in the mid 70s.
WEDNESDAY – AUG 21 – Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 70s.
THURSDAY – AUG 22 – Sunny, highs near 80.
FRIDAY – AUG 23 – Sunny, highs in the low 80s.
SATURDAY – AUG 24 – Sunny, highs in the mid 80s.
MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning for high seas. Winds southerly to 15 knots, seas 4-7 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 75 degrees.
