Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are several degrees warmer than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 72 in Clifton down to 62 at Walpack and Sandyston. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 62.

Very hot and humid today ahead of a cold front that will move through tonight. Temperatures will be well up into the 90s and with dew points around 70 will cause the heat index to rise over 100 degrees. Only a low chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening but if a storm develops it may become quite strong to severe.
Much cooler and mainly dry Thursday and Friday with only a slight chance (20%) of some light showers.
A better chance of showers will be on Saturday along with slightly warmer and more humid air as a cold front swings through the area.
At this time Sunday looks warm with a low chance of some showers and thunderstorms as another cold front sweeps through our area.
Dry and cooler weather is expected for Labor Day with comfortable humidity. The seasonably cool weather should continue through at least the middle of next week.
