NOTE: 25 years ago today Hurricane Floyd caused massive flooding as more than 11 inches of rain fell in our area.

Strong high pressure over our area will give us a mostly sunny day today with near seasonable temperatures and low humidity with dew points mainly in the upper 50s.

The high will be moving off the coast on Tuesday and we should see more clouds and higher humidity but we should stay dry.

A tropical disturbance will move inland across North Carolina into Virginia and some of the moisture from this system will give us a good chance of showers Wednesday into Thursday. It will continue to be humid with dew points in the mid to upper 60s.

We dry out on Friday with lower humidity.

At this point the upcoming weekend looks dry but cool.
