Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from 57 in Clifton down to 50 at High Point. Winds are light from the northeast. The air quality is good with an index of 32.

Last night we had .02″ of rain that ended our 16 straight days without any measurable precipitation.
Today high pressure to our northeast will continue a light onshore flow and we should have mostly cloudy skies, but we should see a little more sunshine than yesterday. High temperatures will only be in the upper 60s.
A slow moving frontal system will give us a chance of showers on Wednesday along with cloudy and cool conditions.
Thursday there will still be a chance of showers but it will become warmer and more humid.
Right now Friday through the weekend looks mainly dry as most of the moisture from what will become Hurricane Helene should stay to our south.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect for high seas, winds easterly to 15 knots, seas 4-6 feet. High rip currents with some coastal flooding will continue today.
