A cold front will cross the region around sunrise this morning associated with cloudy skies with a slight chance of a shower. The front will be followed by a strong west-northwest flow of cooler and drier air. Some wind gusts will be near 30 mph.
Canadian high pressure will then build into the area giving us the coolest air so far this season Tuesday through Thursday night, daytime highs will be only in the 50s and overnight lows will be mainly in the 30s. The best chance of frost will be Thursday night as the high pressure will be over us providing clear skies and light winds.
After a chilly Friday morning temperatures will moderate in the afternoon as the high pressure should be right over us.
Dry weather will continue into the weekend with milder temperatures.
