Good morning everyone!
Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and although temperatures are about 15 degrees cooler than this time yesterday they are still above normal with readings ranging from 48 in Clifton down to 42 at Basking Ridge. Winds are light from the northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 27.

Yesterday we only had about 17 rain drops so our record dry spell has reached 34 days with little or no rain expected for the next several days.
High pressure building from the Great Lakes will give us a northwest flow of seasonably cool air along with plenty of sunshine.
With light winds and clear skies we will have a chance of patchy frost early Sunday morning followed by sunny skies and with continued seasonably cool temperatures.
Monday will be cool again but there will be an increase in clouds at night as a warm front moves through our area but at this time no rain is expected, highs will again be seasonably cool.
Dry and unseasonably warm Tuesday and Wednesday with highs both days well up into the 70s. A weak cold front will cross our area Wednesday night with only a slight chance of a shower.
Dry the rest of the week with cooler temperatures but readings should still be above normal.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR OCTOBER 2024 (Records began in 1973)
Temperatures averaged 59.8 degrees which was 5.1 degrees above the 51 year average. The highest temperature was 84 degrees set on the 21st and again on the 31st. The lowest temperatures was 37 recorded on the 17th. Only a trace of rain for the month and was the first time that we had no measurable precipitation.
