Skies have become mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from 36 in Clifton down to 30 at Hackettstown, Pequest and High Point. Winds are from the northwest around 10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 33.

The storm that gave us the well needed rain and some accumulating snow across our higher elevations is moving offshore and will intensify as it moves to the Gulf of Maine. Skies will be mostly sunny but it will be quite windy with some gusts to 40 mph. Temperatures will not be as chilly as yesterday with highs in the upper 40s to near 50.

Mostly sunny again on Sunday with near seasonable temperatures, winds will still be breezy but not as windy as today.

Mild Monday and Tuesday, a cold front will cross the area on Tuesday possibly accompanied by some showers in the morning.

Mostly sunny and cooler on Wednesday as high pressure builds into the area.

A possible coastal storm may give us rain and or snow mainly Thanksgiving afternoon through the day on Friday.

THANKSGIVING DAY – NOV 28 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain in the afternoon, highs in the upper 40s. chance of rain or snow at night.

FRIDAY – NOV 29 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain or snow, highs in the low 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A gale warning is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for northwest winds gusting to 38 knots, seas 4-6 feet.

OUTLOOK: Small craft advisories expected for Sunday; no advisories expected for Monday; advisories possible Tuesday into Wednesday.
