Rain and snow showers ending this morning followed by clearing along with very strong winds by this afternoon, a wind advisory is in effect! Mostly sunny, breezy and quite cold on Friday! Dry weather for the weekend, becoming milder by Sunday! Quite mild Monday through Wednesday but with periods of rain!

Light snow and or rain is falling early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from 33 in Clifton down to 28 at High Point. Winds are from the south around 5-10 mph. The air quality is moderate with an index of 53. We have some very light snow accumulations on colder surfaces here in Clifton.

An Arctic cold front will pass our area this morning preceded by some rain and snow showers and followed by clearing this afternoon and it will be very windy with possible gusts over 45 mph. A wind advisory is in effect.

As the Arctic high builds closer to our area it will give us a quite cold day on Friday, the winds will still gust to around 30 mph which will make the highs in the mid 30s feel much colder.

Dry weather for the weekend as the high pressure moves to our south. Saturday will still be chilly but it will become milder on Sunday.

Quite mild Monday through Wednesday, but there will be a good chance of showers as a frontal system will be in our area.

SATURDAY – DEC 7 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 30s.

SUNDAY – DEC 8 – Partly sunny and milder, highs near 50.

MONDAY – DEC 9 – Mostly cloudy with rain likely, highs in the low 50s.

TUESDAY – DEC 10 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY – DEC 11 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: A gale warning is in effect until 6 a.m. Friday morning for westerly winds gusting to 45 knots, seas 6-11 feet.

OUTLOOK: Small craft advisories to continue on Friday through Friday night; no advisories expected Saturday through Monday.
