Skies are cloudy and we have some dense fog in some areas, temperatures are mild with readings ranging from 44 in Clifton down to 39 at Wantage. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 71.

A warm front in our area will give us cloudy skies today with mild temperatures, there is a chance of showers this afternoon but most places will remain dry. A strong frontal system will move into our area tonight with rain developing mainly after 10 p.m.

Wednesday will be a stormy day with rain heavy at times, a strong southerly wind will cause temperatures to rise well up into the 60s. The cold front with this system will cross the area Wednesday night with colder air behind the storm but the precipitation should end before any change over to snow. Rainfall amounts will average around two inches.

Thursday will be a much colder day with brisk westerly winds, skies however will be sunny.

Dry and cold weather is expected for Friday but with less wind.

Not as cold on the weekend but there will be a chance of showers on Sunday.

TONIGHT – Cloudy with rain developing mainly after 10 p.m., temperatures rising to the mid 50s.

THURSDAY – DEC 12 – Sunny, breezy and colder, temperatures falling to the low 30s by sunset.

FRIDAY – DEC 13 – Sunny, highs in the upper 30s.

SATURDAY – DEC 14 – Partly sunny, highs in the low 40s.

SUNDAY – DEC 15 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the upper 40s.
