Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Friday the 13th and temperatures are around 10 degrees colder than yesterday morning with readings ranging from 25 in Clifton down to 16 at High Point. Winds are from the west averaging 10-15 mph.. The air quality is good with an index of 27.

A very strong high pressure will continue to build over our area today providing plenty of sunshine but with continued cold temperatures. Winds will be lighter than yesterday.

A dry weekend is expected with temperatures continuing below normal as the strong high moves slowly off the New England coast. There should be plenty of sunshine on Saturday, but we will have an increase in clouds on Sunday.

A weak frontal system will give us rain Monday into Tuesday morning, the rain may begin as snow early Monday morning.

A weak high pressure will then move into the area on Wednesday with mostly sunny skies and seasonably mild temperatures.

Another disturbance may cause some rain on Thursday which again may start off as snow.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, lows in the upper teens.

SATURDAY – DEC 14 – Sunny, highs in the upper 30s.

MONDAY – DEC 16 – Cloudy with rain possibly beginning as snow early in the morning, highs near 50.

TUESDAY – DEC 17 – Cloudy with rain in the morning, clearing in the afternoon and mild, highs in the upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY – DEC 18 – Mostly sunny, high near 50.

THURSDAY – DEC 19 – Partly sunny with a chance of rain or snow, highs in the upper 40s.
