Increasing clouds with rain developing around 4 p.m. and ending around midnight tonight! Sunny and seasonable on Thursday! Chance of snow showers on Friday! Dry and very cold this weekend into early next week!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from 37 in Clifton down to 25 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is good with an index of 34.

We will see an increase in clouds this morning with rain developing around 4 p.m. and ending near midnight as a weak low pressure system moves through the area. Rainfall amount will average around 1/2″

Weak high pressure will give us a dry day on Thursday with near seasonable temperatures.

A disturbance moving from the west along with low pressure well offshore will give us a chance of snow showers on Friday that my produce a dusting of snow.

Much colder but dry over the weekend with possibly the coldest air of the season so far Sunday into early next week.

TONIGHT – Rain ending around midnight, lows in the mid 30s.

THURSDAY – DEC 19 – Sunny, highs in the mid 40s.

FRIDAY – DEC 20 – Cloudy with a chance of snow showers, highs near 40.

SATURDAY – DEC 21 – Partly sunny, highs in the mid 30s.

SUNDAY – DEC 22 – Sunny and very cold, highs only in the upper 20s.

MONDAY – DEC 23 – Sunny, highs near 30.

TUESDAY – DEC 24 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 30s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Variable winds less than 5 knots, seas 2-3 feet.

OUTLOOK: A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 9 p.m. tonight though 10 a.m. Thursday morning; no advisories expected Thursday afternoon through the day on Friday; possible advisories Friday night through Sunday.
