Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are nearly 20 degrees warmer than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 26 in Clifton down to 20 at Basking Ridge and Hackettstown. Winds are light from the west-southwest. The air quality is moderate with an index of 51.

The 6 degree reading yesterday morning was the lowest temperature since February 4th, 2023.
A weak disturbance will cause a period of light snow mainly between 7-10 a.m. this morning, accumulations in the Clifton area should be less than an inch with slightly higher amounts further inland. Clearing by this afternoon and temperatures will rise to above freezing for the first time in a few days but still be slightly below normal.
High pressure will dominate our weather Christmas Day through Friday with dry conditions and seasonably cold temperatures.
Milder on the weekend into early next week but some rain is possible mainly Sunday night into Monday.
