Mostly cloudy today with a little less wind today! Dry, breezy and cold weather for the weekend! Light snow now likely for Monday! Mainly dry and quite cold conditions the rest of next week!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Friday morning and there are some flurries falling in parts of the area. Temperatures range from 31 in Clifton down to 23 at High Point. Winds are still a little gusty out of the west. The air quality is good with an index of 17.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR JANUARY 3RD:

AVERAGE HIGH: 37 AVERAGE LOW: 22

RECORD HIGH: 62 – 1997 RECORD LOW: 4 – 2014

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 42 LOW: 31 PRECIPITATION: Few Flurries.

The storm that gave us the high winds the last couple of days is moving further off the Canadian Maritime region. Skies will be mostly cloudy with near seasonable temperatures. Winds will be lighter today but we could still have gusts to 25 mph.

This weekend will be cold and breezy but dry, as Canadian high pressure builds into our area from the northern plain states.

Still rather uncertain with the forecast for Monday as a storm will move to our south. At this time the computer models are not in agreement with the GFS showing a few inches even for our area while the European model only indicates a few flurries.

The rest of next week looks to be dry but cold and breezy.
