Good morning everyone!

Winds are gusting to near 35 mph making it feel colder. Some slippery conditions may occur on untreated roads and sidewalks. The air quality is good with an index of 22.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR JANUARY 7TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 37 AVERAGE LOW: 22

RECORD HIGH: 64 – 2008 RECORD LOW: 1 – 2018

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 29 LOW: 18 PRECIPITATION: .04″ SNOW: 0.5″

The storm that gave us the snow yesterday is now intensifying near the Canadian Maritimes and in combination with an Arctic high in the middle of the country will give us a strong northwest flow of cold air today. Winds will gust at times to near 40 mph making highs near 30 feel much colder despite plenty of sunshine.

Dry but cold and windy conditions should continue through Friday.

A low pressure system is expected to develop over the Gulf States and move up the coast on Saturday. Most computer models have the storm moving too far to our south to cause more significant snow but since it is still five days out that may change so this situation bears watching.

Dry and seasonably cold weather is expected for Sunday and Monday.
