Strong low nearly stationary over the Canadian maritime region in combination with high pressure to our west will give us very strong winds today as the pressure gradient is even tighter than the last couple of days so we should see gusts approaching 50 mph, a wind advisory is in effect. Wind chills should stay in the single digits all day and it will feel very cold despite plenty of sunshine.
Friday the low weakens and moves further away as the high pressure to our west builds into our area, winds will be gusty in the morning finally diminishing by the afternoon.
The disturbance that at one time promised very heavy snow on Saturday will safely pass to our south and now we will just have a chance of snow showers in the morning.
Sunday through Wednesday will be dry with seasonably cold temperatures, although it will become colder and windy once again by Wednesday.
