Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are about ten degrees colder than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 23 in Clifton down to 14 at High Point. Winds are still gusty out of the northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 29.

High pressure will briefly move into the area today providing the area with plenty of sunshine and much less wind than yesterday. High temperatures will be near seasonable levels in the upper 30s.

A low pressure system will give us rain on Friday possibly beginning as a mixture of snow and sleet around dawn especially inland. The rain should end before midnight. Rainfall amounts will be around 1/2 inch.

High pressure will give us a sunny day on Saturday with near seasonable tempertures.

A weak warm front will cause an increase in clouds on Sunday with a low chance of rain or snow at night.

Mainly dry Monday and Tuesday, high temperatures will be mild on Monday and more seasonable on Tuesday.

Another weak disturbance will give us another low chance of light snow on Wednesday.
