Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are seasonably cold with readings ranging from 25 in Clifton down to 15 at High Point. Winds are mainly from the north-northwest averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 24.

High pressure will be moving offshore today and we should see mostly cloudy skies today with seasonably cold temperatures, however the winds will be much lighter today.
A low pressure system will affect our area on Thursday with snow developing before dawn then mixing with freezing rain and sleet before changing to all rain by noontime. Accumulations of snow and sleet will average between 1-2 inches. A winter weather advisory has been posted.
Friday will be a dry day with near seasonable temperatures but with winds gusting to 30 mph at times.
Another low pressure system will cause snow to develop by late in the afternoon and then mix with sleet and freezing rain before changing to all rain before ending on Sunday.
Still another low pressure system will give us a chance of snow on Tuesday.

SATURDAY – FEB 8 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow developing in the afternoon, highs in the upper 30s. Snow mixing with freezing rain at night.
SUNDAY – FEB 9 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of morning rain, highs in the low 40s.
MONDAY – FEB 10 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 30s.
TUESDAY – FEB 11 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow, highs in the mid 30s.
