Skies are mainly clear early on this Wednesday morning and it is quite chilly with temperatures ranging from 14 in Clifton down to 5 at High Point. Winds are lighter than the last couple of mornings with westerly winds averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 27.

Today will be another cold day with less wind than the last couple of days, but will still gust to near 25 mph at times. We should see an increase in clouds by this afternoon.
The storm that we have been watching the last few days is still expected to be well offshore, but an upper level low may give us some snow showers Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will remain well below normal.
Friday will be a sunny and breezy day as the low pressure moves well to our northeast and high pressure builds from the middle of the country. High temperatures will not be as cold but still below normal.
High pressure will control our weather this weekend into early next week with milder air, temperatures will be near normal on the weekend and be above normal through the beginning of next week. A weak warm front may touch off some rain showers Monday night into Tuesday.
