Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are about 10 degrees warmer than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 29 in Clifton down to 24 at Ramsey, Hackettstown and Sandyston. Winds are mainly calm or light southerly. The air quality index is moderate with an index of 66.

The high pressure that gave us the cold weather the last couple of days is moving offshore and we will have a southerly flow of milder air today. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy.
A strong low pressure system will be moving into our area on Wednesday giving us a chance of rain in the morning then rain possibly heavy at times in the afternoon and at night. Temperatures will be mild on a strong southerly flow. Rainfall amounts will average about 1 inch.
Thursday will continue to be mild with mostly cloudy skies, winds will be light during the day but increase at night.
Friday will be a mostly sunny day with slightly cooler temperatures.
Mainly dry weather for the weekend, Saturday will be seasonably mild but cooler weather is expected for Sunday.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. this afternoon through 6 a.m. Wednesday morning for southerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.
OUTLOOK: A gale warning has been posted effective between 6 a.m. Wednesday morning through midnight; advisories will continue for Thursday and Friday with possible gales Thursday night; no advisories expected for Friday night through Saturday.
