Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are nearly 20 degrees colder than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 32 in Clifton down to 24 at High Point. Winds are still a little gusty out of the north-northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 21.

AVERAGE HIGH: 49 AVERAGE LOW: 32

RECORD HIGH: 77 – 2011 RECORD LOW: 9 – 1993

The low pressure that gave us the rain early on Monday has moved off shore as a high pressure builds from the west. Today will be a sunny day with mild temperatures and diminishing winds.

Another sunny and mild day is likely on Wednesday as the high pressure moves through our area. Winds will be light from the southeast.

A frontal system will give us rain mainly from Thursday evening through the early morning hours on Friday and as colder air moves in some of the rain may be mixed with snow before ending.

Friday will be a mostly sunny but it will be windy and chilly as the pressure gradient increases between the low pressure off the Canadian maritime region and high pressure building in from the west. Some winds gusts may be over 40 mph.

Dry weather with near normal temperatures for the weekend.

Another low pressure area will likely give us rain on Monday.
