Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and with mainly calm winds there is a rather large spread in temperatures with readings ranging from 40 in Clifton down to 26 at Pequest and Hackettstown. The air quality is moderate with an index of 52.

Today will be a mild day ahead of a weak cold front that will cross our area this afternoon possibly accompanied by an isolated brief shower.

Sunday will be cool but sunny. Early morning lows will dip slightly below freezing and daytime highs will rise to 50 degrees which is only slightly below normal.

A frontal system is expected to give us rain on Monday with slightly milder temperatures. Rainfall amounts should be less than 1/2 inch.

Mainly dry with near normal temperatures Tuesday through Friday. However a weak disturbance will give our area a low chance of rain on Wednesday.

TONIGHT – Chance of a brief shower in the evening then becoming mostly clear and colder, lows in the upper 20s.

MONDAY – MAR 24 – Mostly cloudy with rain mainly before 2 p.m., highs in the upper 50s.

TUESDAY – MAR 25 – Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 50s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 26 – Partly sunny with a chance of a shower, highs in the low 50s.

THURSDAY – MAR 27 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 50s.

FRIDAY – MAR 28 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 1 p.m. this afternoon through 11 a.m. Sunday morning for westerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet.
