Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are cool with readings ranging from 34 in Clifton down to 27 at High Point and Sandyston. Winds are light from the north. The air quality is good with an index of 35.

A strong high pressure will be moving off the New England coast today. Skies will start off mostly sunny but we will have an increase in clouds by this afternoon. Temperatures will be cool with an onshore wind with most highs only in the 40s.

A warm front will be approaching our area tonight with a chance of showers overnight with drizzle possible Thursday morning. It will remain cloudy but warmer with highs reaching the 70s.

Showers likely early on Friday then we should be dry with mostly cloudy skies and mild temperatures during the day.

A stationary front will give us unsettled weather for the weekend with showers likely especially on Saturday and then again on Sunday night as a cold front moves through the area.

Chance of showers Monday morning followed by clearing by the afternoon with cooler temperatures.

Tuesday looks to be dry and cool as high pressure builds into our area.

FRIDAY – APR 4 – Showers likely mainly before 8 a.m. then remaining mostly cloudy, highs in the mid 60s.

SATURDAY – APR 5 – Cloudy with showers likely, highs in the low 50s.

SUNDAY – APR 6 – Cloudy and milder with a chance of showers, highs in the mid 60s, showers likely at night.

MONDAY – APR 7 – Chance of a morning shower then becoming partly sunny, highs in the upper 50s.

TUESDAY – APR 8 – Mostly sunny and cool, highs near 50.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR MARCH 2025. RECORDS STARTED IN 1973.

Clifton’s average temperature was 45.8 which was well above normal and was the 6th warmest March since my records began. The highest temperature was 82 set on the 29th, the lowest was 17 degrees on the 3rd. Precipitation totaled 4.56: which was normal for the month. Only a trace of snow fell. This March was also windy with many days with gusts over 30 mph.
