Cloudy and not quite as cool today with a chance of showers! Showers on Monday possibly mixed with sleet and snow across the higher elevations inland in the morning! Dry but much cooler and windy on Tuesday! Continued dry and cool Wednesday through the day on Thursday! Milder but with a good chance of showers Thursday night through the start of next weekend!

Skies are cloudy and there are some showers or drizzle falling over parts of the area. Temperatures range from 41 in Clifton down to 38 at High Point. Winds are calm or light northeasterly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 53.

A front will move slowly to our south today and we will have cloudy skies with temperatures a little milder than yesterday, there will be a chance of showers along with possibly some thunderstorms.

Monday will be chilly with showers that may be mixed with snow and sleet across the higher elevations inland. A secondary cold front will cross the area at night possibly accompanied by some showers.

Much cooler and windy on Tuesday as an Arctic high pressure builds into the area.

This high will give us dry and continued cool weather Wednesday into the day on Thursday.

Milder but with a chance of showers Thursday night through the start of the weekend as a slow moving low pressure system move into our area.

TONIGHT – Cloudy with showers likely possibly mixed with sleet after midnight, lows in the upper 30s.

MONDAY – APR 7 – Cloudy with showers in the morning possibly mixed with sleet then still a chance of showers in the afternoon and evening, highs in the mid 40s.

TUESDAY – APR 8 – Mostly sunny, windy and chilly, highs in the upper 40s, wind gusts to 30 mph.

WEDNESDAY – APR 9 – Sunny, highs near 50.

THURSDAY – APR 10 – Partly sunny, highs in the low 50s, chance of showers at night.

FRIDAY – APR 11 – Cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the upper 50s.

SATURDAY – APR 12 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, highs in the upper 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for northwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-6 feet.

OUTLOOK: Possible advisories on Monday; advisories expected for Tuesday; no advisories expected for Wednesday.
