Another unseasonably cool day today with rain continuing into tonight! Slow clearing on Memorial Day and not as chilly! Sunny and seasonably warm on Tuesday! More showers likely late Wednesday night through Friday!

Good morning everyone

Skies are cloudy early on this Sunday morning and some light rain or drizzle is falling across parts of the area. Temperatures are unseasonably cool with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 45 in Clifton down to 40 at High Point, winds are from the northeast.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR MAY 30TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 76 AVERAGE LOW: 56

RECORD HIGH: 97 – 1987 RECORD LOW: 43 – 1996

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 49 LOW: 45 PRECIPITATION: .58″

Yesterday’s high of 49 was the latest in the season that it did not reach 50 degrees, previously the latest that it stayed in the 40s was May 21st, 1990 when the high was 46.

Another unseasonably cool day today with rain which may become heavy at times during the afternoon and evening as another low pressure moves up the coast. Additional rainfall amounts of an inch can be expected. High temperatures will only reach around 50 but we should have a little less wind than yesterday.

We should have some slow clearing on Memorial Day, temperatures will not be as cool with highs near 70 which is still below normal.

Tuesday still looks to be the nicest day of this week with sunny skies and warmer temperatures.

A slow moving frontal system will give our area unsettled weather from late Wednesday through Friday with the best chance of rain Thursday night into Friday. Temperatures however will be warmer with an increase in humidity.
