Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Thursday morning, some scattered showers are falling in parts of the area but most places have stayed dry. Temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 58 in Clifton down to 55 at Sandyston, winds are light from the southeast.

A warm front will pass to our north this morning accompanied by some showers, at this time most of the showers are across southern New Jersey and should move into our area after dawn. We may see a break in showers around midday but more showers with possible strong thunderstorms this afternoon and evening as a weakening cold front approaches our area. Rain may be heavy at times with rainfall amounts around one inch.
Friday will be warmer and there is just a low chance of some afternoon and evening thunderstorms as the cold front dissipates just to our west.
Dry and warm to hot weather is expected for the weekend as a Bermuda high pressure ridge dominates our weather.
Hot weather to continue through the middle of next week with only a low chance of showers on Wednesday.
