Andrea is gone setting the stage for a dry and warm weekend!

The remnants of Andrea is now just south of Long Island and is moving quickly out to sea. The total rainfall on my rain gauge in Clifton totaled 3.33″ for the storm, higher amounts were recorded down the shore where 5 inches fell in some spots.
Today will be much warmer with temperatures reaching the 80 degree mark and although there will be some sunshine there still will be lots of clouds around with only a very slight chance of an afternoon shower.
Sunday will be a couple of degrees warmer with more sunshine.
Showers and thunderstorms will return on Monday and Tuesday as a warm front followed by a cold front moves through our area..
Still a chance of a shower on Wednesday but Thursday and Friday should be rain free with seasonably warm temperatures.
Looking further ahead for next weekend at this point looks dry and warm but of course that can change.
