Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Friday morning and once again it is warm and muggy with temperatures ranging from 71 in Clifton down to 63 at Wantage and High Point. Winds are light from the northeast. The air quality is moderate with an index of 63. Note some overnight heavy rains occurred overnight across portions of the Hudson Valley and has moved now into Connecticut.

A weak front has moved into our area this morning and will cause mostly cloudy skies today with showers and thunderstorms likely mainly after 5 p.m., some storms may be accompanied by heavy rain, gusty winds and possibly some hail. Temperatures will be a little lower than on Thursday but the humidity will be higher with dew points rising into the low 70s.
Saturday should be drier than today but there will still be a low chance of an afternoon or evening shower and thunderstorm.
Showers and thunderstorms will be more likely on Sunday, high temperatures will be near normal but the humidity will continue to be high.
Much of next week will be seasonably warm and a little less humid with a chance of showers on Tuesday and again on Thursday.
