Cloudy and humid again today with showers likely and possibly some thunderstorms! Humid with a chance of showers on Monday! Dry on Tuesday then more showers likely on Wednesday! Fair and cooler and much less humid Thursday through the start of next weekend!

Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Sunday morning and there is some patchy fog in some spots as the humidity remains high. Temperatures are mostly in the mid to upper 60s. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 55.

A weak front will again be in our area today which will cause cloudy skies most of the day with showers developing mainly after 10 a.m. There still a chance of thunderstorms but they should not be as strong as the last two days, but heavy rain is still possible.

Still a chance of showers on Monday with mostly cloudy skies along with continued high humidity.

Tuesday a weak area of high pressure will build into our area and we should stay dry but humid with partly sunny skies.

Another stronger frontal system will likely give us more showers on Wednesday with the rain possibly heavy at times.

Finally cooler and much less humid with mostly sunny skies Thursday through at least the start of the next weekend.

Hurricane Lee has top winds of 105 mph and is still expected to remain well offshore from our area but building seas and dangerous rip currents are likely beginning on Tuesday and last much of rest of the week.

TONIGHT – Cloudy and muggy with showers likely and possibly some thunderstorms, some heavy rain possible, lows in the upper 60s.

MONDAY – SEP 11 – Mostly cloudy in the morning then partly sunny in the afternoon, humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, highs in the low 80s.

TUESDAY – SEP 12 – Partly sunny and humid, highs in the low 80s. Chance of rain after 8 p.m.

WEDNESDAY – SEP 13 – Cloudy and humid with rain likely, highs in the upper 70s.

THURSDAY – SEP 14 – Sunny and much less humid, highs in the mid 70s.

FRIDAY – SEP 15 – Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 70s.

SATURDAY – SEP 16 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Variable winds less than 5 knots, seas 1-2 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 76 degrees.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected for Monday; advisories possible on Tuesday for building seas; advisories likely Wednesday and Thursday for highs seas from Hurricane Lee which should remain well offshore.
