Skies are partly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and once again with high humidity there is some patchy fog in some areas. Temperatures range from the low to mid 60s. The winds are mainly calm or light northwesterly. The air quality is good with an index of 38.

Yesterday in Clifton we only picked up .11″ while some nearby areas had flooding rains.
The front that gave us the showers has moved offshore and a weak area of high pressure will build into the area today providing us with mostly sunny skies, warm temperatures and still high humidity.
Another front will move into the area on Wednesday with showers and possibly some thunderstorms mainly before 8 p.m. Some of the storms may cause rain heavy at times. High temperatures will be lower but the humidity will remain high.
Dry with much less humidity and seasonable temperatures Thursday through the weekend. It may be a little windy Friday and Saturday as Hurricane Lee moves up the coast well offshore. Also the storm will likely cause high surf along with dangerous rip currents.

SUNDAY – SEP 17 – Mostly sunny, highs near 80.

OUTLOOK: A small craft advisory has be issued effective between 4 a.m. Wednesday morning through 6 a.m. Thursday morning; advisories likely to continued Thursday through Saturday as Hurricane Lee moves well offshore.
TROPICS: Hurricane Lee with top winds of 110 mph is expected to move up the coast well off our shores and may affect Maine and Nova Scotia with heavy rain and winds over the weekend.
