Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning, but once again there is some patchy dense fog in parts of the area. Early temperatures range from 58 in Clifton down to 50 at Pequest. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 66.

The high pressure ridge that gave us the record breaking warmth the last two days is moving offshore and we should have a light onshore flow. High temperatures will be lower but still above normal. Skies will be sunny after early morning patchy fog.

A frontal system will move into the area on Friday which will give us cloudy skies with a chance of some light rain or drizzle during the day. Showers become more likely Friday night through Saturday night.

Much cooler and drier air is expected for Sunday and it will be windy.

Mainly dry and cool weather expected Monday through Wednesday. Early morning lows on Monday will likely be the coolest since early May with readings in the low 40s in Clifton down to the 30s further inland.
