Mostly cloudy with near record high temperatures today with a slight chance (20%) of a shower late this afternoon! Slightly cooler on Sunday with continued mostly cloudy skies! Snow and rain expected Monday night through Tuesday morning with a couple of inches of snow possible here but plowable snow likely to our north and west!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and once again it is mild with readings ranging from 38 in Clifton down to 29 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 78.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR FEBRUARY 10TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 39 AVERAGE LOW: 23

RECORD HIGH: 59 – 2023 RECORD LOW: 3 – 1994

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 54 LOW: 38 PRECIPITATION: NONE

Today will be quite mild despite plenty of cloudiness as high temperatures are expected to approach the 60 degree mark. My record temperature for the date is 59 set in 1990 and tied again just last year. A weak cold front will give us a slight chance of light showers later this afternoon and evening.

Sunday will remain mostly cloudy and only slightly cooler as weak high pressure builds into our area.

A winter storm is expected for Monday night into Tuesday morning. At this time rain will develop Monday night and then change to snow before ending around noon on Tuesday. At the present time 1-2″ of wet snow is likely in the Clifton area with much higher amounts to our north and west.

Most of the rest of the week looks to be mainly dry with near normal temperatures.
