With clear skies and light winds temperatures have fallen to around 30 degrees in the Clifton area with the 20s further inland. Again beware of black ice early this morning on untreated roads and especially on sidewalks and steps.
Today sunshine will prevail and temperatures will rise into the 50s..
Sunday we will have increasing cloudiness but it still will be mild, however a cold front will be crossing the area in the evening accompanied by some rain showers that may change to snow before ending, little or no accumulation is expected.
Below normal temperatures will return next week and the next chance of any significant snow will be around Wednesday. At the present time the computer models are not in agreement, the European model would give the area a few inches of snow while the American model (GFS) has the storm going out to sea. Even colder weather will follow the potential storm for Thursday and Friday.
The forecast: Today – Sunny, high in the low 50s.
Tonight – Increasing cloudiness, low in the low 30s.
Sunday – Mostly cloudy, high near 50. Chance of rain showers at night changing to snow before ending..
Monday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 30s.
Tuesday – Mostly cloudy, high in the low 30s.
Wednesday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow, high in the low 30s.
Thursday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 20s.
Friday – Partly sunny, high near 30.
Marine forecast: Today – Southwest wind gusting to 22 knots, seas 3 feet.
