Today will start off partly to mostly sunny, but a cold front approaching from the west will give us a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m., with storms becoming more likely after 5 p.m. Some of these storms may become severe with strong gusty winds and heavy rain.
High pressure will then build into our area for the weekend with near normal temperatures, plenty of sunshine and low humidity.
As the high pressure ridge moves offshore a south-southwest flow of very warm air will dominate our weather for next week with increasing humidity. Little or no rainfall is expected. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s on Monday then rise to well up into the 90s for the rest of the week.
