Excessive heat likely today through Wednesday! Chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday afternoon and evening becoming more widespread on Wednesday! Still a chance of a shower on Thursday followed by cooler and drier air for Friday through next weekend!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Sunday morning and temperatures range from 73 in Clifton down to 63 at Sandyston. Winds are calm or light from the west. The air quality is moderate with an index of 54.

The weak front that gave us the rain yesterday has dissipated and high pressure will build into the area today providing us with plenty of sunshine with highs reaching into the low to mid 90s. The humidity will be rather high but not oppressive with dew points in the upper 60s to near 70.

High heat continues Monday but a weak disturbance will give us a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Tuesday may even be hotter with highs in some places reaching to near 100 as we will have less clouds.

A cold front will cross the area Wednesday night possibly causing some strong to severe thunderstorms with heavy rain. Highs will again be well up into the 90s with higher humidity.

Some lingering showers on Thursday followed by much cooler and drier air Friday through next weekend as temperatures fall to near normal for a change.

FRIDAY – JULY 19 – Mostly sunny and pleasantly warm, highs in the mid 80s.

SATURDAY – JULY 20 – Mostly sunny and continued pleasantly warm, highs in the upper 80s.
