Mostly sunny, very hot and humid today and again on Tuesday with a low chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms both days! Hot and humid again on Wednesday with more widespread showers and thunderstorms! Chance of an early shower on Thursday then clearing, cool and less humid weather that should extend into the weekend!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Monday morning and once again it is warm and muggy with temperatures ranging from 74 in Clifton down to 68 at Hackettstown and Walpack. Winds are calm or light southerly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 58.

Today and Tuesday will be very hot and humid and an upper level trough may give us a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms both days. Highs well up into the 90s both days and dew points around 70 will cause heat indexes to rise past 100 degrees. A heat advisory continues in effect.

A cold front will cross the area Wednesday night preceded by another hot and humid day but there should be more widespread thunderstorm activity with strong to severe storms possible.

Lingering showers early Thursday morning then becoming much cooler and drier air Thursday afternoon that should extend through the weekend as high pressure builds into our area.
