Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are once again quite warm with readings ranging from 74 in Clifton down to 62 at Walpack. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 61.

Today will be another very hot day with high temperatures approaching 100, however the humidity will be slightly lower with dew points in the 60s. Still the heat index will be above 105 and a heat advisory continues in effect. Showers and thunderstorms are likely later this afternoon and this evening, some storms may be strong to severe with strong gusty winds and hail.

A cold front approaching from the west as the high pressure ridge will be moving offshore. Another hot day with increasing humidity on Wednesday with showers and some strong to severe thunderstorms are likely mainly in the afternoon and again at night.

The cold front will cross the area Thursday morning with lingering showers ending followed by clearing skies along with cooler temperatures and much less humidity.

Fantastic summer weather is likely Friday through the weekend with mostly sunny skies each day with near normal temperatures and humidity.
