Skies are mainly clear early on this Tuesday morning and there may be some patchy fog in some areas. Temperatures range from 63 in Clifton down to 56 at Sandyston. Winds are mainly calm and the humidity is high. The air quality is moderate with an index of 57.

NOTE: On this date 13 years ago Hurricane Irene caused massive flooding in our area with 9.27″ of rain falling on August 27th into the 28th.
High pressure over the area will give us another warm day with highs well up into the 80s, the humidity will be moderate with dew points in the mid 60s. We should stay dry with mostly sunny skies.
Wednesday may be the last very hot and humid day of the summer as a southwest flow air will cause temperatures to rise to well up into the 90s and with dew points in the low 70s will cause heat indexes to rise above 100 degrees. A heat advisory has been issued. Also there is a chance of some scattered thunderstorms that may be strong to severe mainly after 2 p.m. A cold front will come through at night.
Much cooler and drier air for Thursday, there will be a slight chance of lingering showers in the morning otherwise we should be dry.
Friday looks to be a dry day with seasonably cool temperatures.
The weather looks to be a bit unsettled for the holiday weekend, with a good chance of showers on Saturday. At this time Sunday and Labor Day look dry with near seasonable temperatures.
