Skies are mostly clear early on this Sunday morning and temperatures are more than 10 degrees cooler than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 52 in Clifton down to 45 at High Point. Winds are calm or light westerly. The air quality is very good with an index of only 12.

High pressure building in from west will give us a sunny and cool day today, it will be a little breezy in the afternoon with some gusts over 20 mph.

After a cool start Monday will be a little milder with continued sunny skies, and again it will be a little breezy in the afternoon.

A stretch of dry and warm weather is expected Tuesday through next weekend with sunny skies each day and high temperatures in the 80s. Dew points will be moderate by the end of the week with readings around 60.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until noon today for northwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 4-6 feet.
