Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from 60 in Clifton down to 52 at High Point. Winds are mainly light from the east. The air quality is good with an index of 31.

Today will be a cloudy and cool day with a chance of showers developing by this afternoon as a warm front approaches from the west.

The warm front will pass the area early Thursday morning and we will then be in the warm sector, which will cause warmer and more humid conditions. Highs will be in the upper 70s with dew points approaching 70. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and night as the cold front moves through the area.

Still some lingering clouds on Friday, but we should stay dry with slightly above normal temperatures.

Mainly dry weather for the weekend into early next week as high pressure builds into our area from the north. Temperatures will be near seasonable levels with most highs in the low 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory remains in effect for high seas until 6 a.m. Thursday morning for southeast winds to 15 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK: Advisories possible during the day on Thursday; no advisories expected Thursday night through the day on Friday; possible advisories again Friday night through the weekend.
