Another nice day to end the weekend with sunny skies and mild temperatures! Showers and possibly a thunderstorm Monday morning then clearing by the afternoon! Dry and cool Tuesday through Friday! Dry and mild weather likely again next weekend!

Skies are mainly clear early on this Sunday morning and temperatures range from 53 in Clifton down to a cool 38 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 52.

High pressure moving off the coast will give us another sunny day today with light winds and low humidity. High temperatures may be a couple of degrees cooler than yesterday but still rise to the low 70s.

A frontal system on Monday will give us showers mainly before 11 a.m. with possibly a thunderstorm. There will be clearing in the afternoon and highs again will rise to the low to mid 70s.

The coolest air of the season so far is expected Tuesday through Friday as a Canadian high pressure dominates our weather. Most highs will be in the 60s with overnight lows in the 40s in the Clifton area and the 30s further inland.

At this point next weekend looks to be as nice as this weekend with sunny skies both days and highs in the 70s.

TONIGHT – Becoming cloudy with showers and possibly a thunderstorm mainly after 5 a.m., lows in the upper 50s.

MONDAY – OCT 7 – Showers and possibly a thunderstorms mainly before 11 a.m. then partial clearing in the afternoon, highs in the mid 70s.

TUESDAY – OCT 8 – Sunny, highs in the upper 60s.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 9 – Sunny, highs in the mid 60s.

THURSDAY – OCT 10 – Sunny, highs in the low 60s.

FRIDAY – OCT 11 – Sunny, highs in the upper 60s.

SATURDAY – OCT 12 – Sunny, highs in the mid 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – East-northeast winds to 10 knots, seas 2 feet.

OUTLOOK: A small craft advisory has been posted for high seas effective between 8 p.m. tonight through 8 a.m. Tuesday morning; advisories may still be needed the rest of the day on Tuesday; no advisories expected Tuesday night through Thursday.
