Sunny, breezy and mild today with a red flag warning again in effect! Increasing clouds and mild on Sunday with lighter winds! Dry and mild Monday through the day on Wednesday! Rain likely on Thursday! Chance of showers and cooler on Friday!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mainly clear on this moonlit early Saturday morning and temperatures range from 43 in Clifton down to 34 at Pequest. Winds are gusty out of the north-northwest. The air quality is moderate with an index of 62.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR NOVEMBER 16TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 54 AVERAGE LOW: 35

RECORD HIGH: 74 – 2005 RECORD LOW: 19 – 1996

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 60 LOW: 38 PRECIPITATION: NONE

High pressure over the Midwest along with low pressure off the Canadian Maritimes will give us a brisk north-northwest flow of seasonably mild air. With the winds and low humidity there is another chance of brush and wildfires today so a Red Flag Warning is in effect.

The high pressure will be moving through the area on Sunday and we should see an increase in clouds but winds will be much lighter. Temperatures will be mild.

A weak cold front will come through dry on Monday followed by another high pressure that will dominate our weather through the day on Wednesday. Temperatures will continue to be above normal.

Finally it looks like we may have some significant rain on Thursday with possibly an inch of the well needed rain as a low pressure system moves into our area.

Good chance of showers on Friday with cooler temperatures as the low pressure moves slowly offshore.
