Skies are mainly clear early on this Sunday morning and temperatures range from 14 in Clifton down to 7 at High Point. Winds are a little gusty out of the northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 23. The 14 degree reading in Clifton is the coldest temperature since January 17th.

Arctic high pressure building from the Great Lakes will give us very cold day today but the winds will slowly diminsh this afternoon. Highs will be mainly only in the low 20s.
With clear skies and light winds temperatures early tomorrow morning will drop down to around 10 in Clifton and some below zero temperatures are likely further inland. During the day on Monday temperatures will be a couple of degrees higher than today but still be below freezing, winds will continue to be light.
A weak frontal system may give us some snow showers on Tuesday morning then skies will become mostly sunny in the afternoon with more normal temperatures.
High pressure will then dominate our weather Christmas Day through Friday giving us dry conditions and near normal temperatures.
At this point next weekend looks mainly dry and somewhat milder.

THURSDAY – DEC 26 – Partly sunny, highs near 40.
FRIDAY – DEC 27 – Partly sunny, highs in the low 40s.
SATURDAY – DEC 28 – Partly sunny, highs in the mid 40s.
MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. this afternoon for northwest winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet.
OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Monday through Thursday.
